Active Space Technologies is looking for a mechanical engineer with experience in Mechanical Design Engineer, for joining the industrial automation team, in the scope of designing several automated guided vehicles. 2. Duties & Responsibilities
As a mechanical engineer your primary responsibility will be to participate in the design of several parts and subsystems including their integration in the final product. You will also participate with the conception and reviewing of drawings for production and associated bill of materials.
The main responsibilities for this position includes the:
• Development of detailed designs and their integration into the products;
• Fulfill role as lead for one or more internals components/modules/new product;
• Ensure that the developed technical solutions do not conflict with licensed intellectual property rights;
• Contribute to cost reduction and improve quality through standardization, modularization and process efficiency improvements.

3. Minimal Requirements:

3.1 Academic Qualification
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferably with specialization in Project Design.

3.2 Key Technical and Practical Experience
• Profound knowledge in dimensioning gears, bearings, shafts, fasteners, welds, electrical motors and structural components;
• Good understanding of product development processes;
• Experience with CAD-/PLM/PDM systems;
• Knowledge of full design & product life cycle, from requirements scoping to end of life;
• Experience of practical design, DFM & DFA;
• Basic structural engineering & FE skills;
• 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience will be valued.

3.4 Languages
• Good English skills (spoken and written) required.
