IT House is looking for a Software Engineer for a direct placement with an end client in the Transport & Logistics sector, located in Porto.

Main Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of a next-generation warehouse management platform;
• Apply modern methods, tools and technologies to deliver impactful projects;
• Help design new and modernized components using container technology, suitable databases and cloud services;
• Develop specialized expertise in a particular area or build broad knowledge to support colleagues;
• Act as a technical reference within the community, contributing innovative ideas across the organization.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional development experience with modern web technologies;
• Good knowledge of common programming languages (Java, TypeScript, JavaScript) and development tools (IDEs, version control, project management platforms);
• Relevant professional experience in agile software development (e.g. Scrum) with a basic understanding of software architecture (microservices, SOLID, DDD) and software quality;
• First-hand experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines and cloud services (preferably Microsoft Azure) in a professional environment;
• Initial knowledge of container platforms (e.g. Kubernetes, OpenShift) and messaging technologies (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus) is a plus;
• Experience working with large legacy systems and their modernization is desirable;
• Good English skills and a collaborative mindset, understanding that the best results come through teamwork.
