We are looking for a Production Support Engineer!

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and project delivery for group applications in a global production environment.
• Support the production elements of applications as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Proactively monitor, manage, and improve the availability and performance of production environments, covering presentation, application, middleware, and database layers.
• Provide escalation coverage within a global “Follow The Sun” support model.
• Proactively manage the capacity of production applications.
• Customize and maintain production tools covering monitoring, batch scheduling, backups, deployment, and automation.
• Work closely with other technical teams to investigate and resolve incidents and production issues promptly.
• Respond effectively to incidents, often under pressure, with a strong focus on restoring normal service to the business.
• Provide technical feedback and propose solutions to management regarding application performance and capacity.
• Support production processes, including change, release, incident, and problem management.
• Develop and maintain scripts and tools to support administration, monitoring, and production activities.
• Contribute to automation initiatives and continuous improvement of production environments.
• Participate in technical projects and support the implementation of new solutions and technologies.
• Be available for on-call and out-of-hours support when required.
• Work across different technologies and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technical environments.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in production/application technical support in a complex IT environment.
• Strong experience with Windows and Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Experience with technologies such as IIS, .NET, WCF, WebLogic Application Server, Apache, Tomcat, Java EE, and/or Nginx.
• Experience with monitoring and scheduling tools such as Geneos, Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, and/or DollarUniverse.
• Strong scripting and development skills for administration, monitoring, and support tools, particularly using Python, Shell, and SQL.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
• Good understanding of production processes, including change and release management.
• Strong incident and problem management skills, with knowledge of ITIL.
• Experience working with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond quickly to production incidents.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple technical teams within a global support environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn and work across a wide range of technologies.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Availability to participate in on-call and out-of-hours support.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
