We are looking for an AI Privacy Engineer to join a hybrid project in Lisbon (Venda do Pinheiro).

Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field, supplemented by relevant legal training (LL.B., LL.M., CIPP/E, or similar) in a European Union jurisdiction or legal training with proven experience in technology and privacy;
- At least 3 years of experience, preferably in international corporate environments;
- Solid knowledge and practical experience with the GDPR;
Technical understanding of modern Artificial Intelligence systems, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Stores, AI Agents, and Tool Calling/Tool Use;
- Experience conducting DPIA, managing international data transfers, and handling data subjects’ rights on a large scale;
- Ability to manage stakeholders and constructively challenge decisions regarding solution design and architecture;
- Practical experience with generative AI platforms, such as Azure AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalents;
- Knowledge of data protection issues related to Microsoft 365 Copilot or similar AI initiatives applied to the workplace;
- Relevant certifications in the areas of privacy, risk, governance, or security (IAPP, ISACA, EIPM, PECB, CNIL, AFNOR, BCS, DEKRA, among others);
- Experience with AI Governance, Responsible AI, or Model Risk Management frameworks;
- Fluency in English.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Artificial Intelligence use cases comply with data protection requirements, applicable regulations, and internal policies;
- Translate legal and privacy requirements into clear technical guidelines for engineering and product teams;
- Integrate Data Protection by Design and by Default principles into the design, development, and implementation of AI solutions;
- Conduct risk and impact assessments (DPIAs and AI risk analyses), identifying vulnerabilities and defining appropriate mitigation measures;
- Work closely with technical teams to implement controls and safeguards that ensure the compliance of solutions;
- Produce and maintain technical and compliance documentation to support audits, reviews, and governance processes;
- Serve as a liaison between AI, Data Protection, Security teams, and other stakeholders, promoting transparency and regulatory alignment;
- Support the management of data subjects’ rights and the response to incidents involving personal data in AI systems;
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of scalable AI and privacy governance models, supporting the responsible adoption of Artificial Intelligence within the organization.
