Role Overview:

We are looking for a Linux System Administrator for a telecommunications operator in Portugal, offering television, internet, fixed and mobile phone services. The company is recognized for delivering flexible and competitive solutions, focusing on personalized and affordable packages for both private and business customers, with a strong presence outside major metropolitan areas.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for managing and maintaining Linux-based systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. Your role will involve administering virtualization platforms, troubleshooting complex technical issues in high availability environments, implementing patches and updates, and supporting networking and storage platforms. You will also develop automation scripts, oversee web servers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure service continuity.
 

What you are like:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or similar;
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Linux systems administration (Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu);
• At least 5 years of experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, or Proxmox);
• Experience with storage networking platforms and strong knowledge of network services (DNS, Mail, DHCP, LDAP, AD, SSL);
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.);
• Strong autonomy and analytical skills;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
