Role Overview

We are looking for an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Engineer to integrate of our Nearshore teams working remotely for international clients accross The Netherlands, Germany and other European countries.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and automating Azure Virtual Desktop environments, with a strong focus on Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps pipelines, and modern endpoint management across Windows and macOS ecosystems.

What you will do

• Design and implement Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including image management and session host automation;
• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions (Bicep, ARM, Terraform) integrated with Azure DevOps or GitHub pipelines;
• Develop and optimise Intune-based MDM/MAM solutions, including macOS management with Apple Business Manager (ABM);
• Create and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation, deployment, and operational efficiency;
• Contribute to baseline development, lifecycle management, and continuous innovation within the Hybrid Device ecosystem;
• Support endpoint security, compliance, and policy enforcement using tools such as Inforcer.

What you are like

• Have practical expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop;
• Highly proficient in AVD implementations via DevOps pipelines, including Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep/ARM/Terraform);
• Experienced in Intune (MDM/MAM), with solid knowledge of Windows and macOS device management (ABM is a plus);
• Strong skills in PowerShell scripting for automation and platform optimisation;
• Knowledgeable in Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD practices applied to infrastructure and endpoint management;
• Familiar with Inforcer and Microsoft 365 (MS-102 certification is a plus);
• Have good communication skills in English - as you will collaborate daily with international teams using English as the main language.
