• Implement and maintain appropriate valuation methodologies for private and illiquid investments;
• Perform and independently review periodic fair-value valuations of portfolio investments;
• Develop and maintain robust financial and valuation models, assessing key assumptions and relevant market inputs;
• Independently challenge valuation assumptions and information provided by the Investment team and portfolio companies;
• Analyse portfolio companies' financial performance, budgets, business plans and KPIs for valuation and portfolio-monitoring purposes;
• Maintain comprehensive valuation files and supporting documentation;
• Prepare valuation materials and analysis for the Board, relevant governance bodies, auditors and external valuation providers;
• Prepare periodic independent portfolio performance and valuation analysis;
• Support NAV, regulatory and investor reporting processes through accurate portfolio and valuation data;
• Coordinate with Finance, Risk, Investment teams and external providers on valuation-related matters.

Perfil ideal

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, with significant exposure to the valuation of private and illiquid assets;
• Demonstrable experience preparing or reviewing fair-value valuations of unlisted equity investments;
• Previous experience within a Big 4 valuation practice, independent valuation firm, regulated asset manager or investment fund;
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills;
• Strong knowledge of fair-value methodologies and the valuation of illiquid assets;
• Experience analysing portfolio-company financial information, budgets and KPIs will be highly valued;
• Strong accounting knowledge and financial statement analysis capabilities;
• Ability to independently challenge assumptions and clearly document valuation conclusions;
• High level of accuracy, analytical rigour and attention to detail;
• Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
